The Faulkner County Quorum Court on Tuesday heard the first reading of an ordinance to approve an application for a private club permit for a restaurant seeking to open in Mayflower. Justice of the Peace (JP) Samuel Strain sponsored the ordinance on behalf of the owners of Palarm Station, Inc., a restaurant planning to open at 941 Highway 365. Strain said the restaurant would like to serve alcoholic beverages to be able to compete with other restaurants in Conway and Maumelle.

The intersection of Nutters Chapel Road and Crosspoint Road will be closed beginning Monday, the city of Conway announced on Friday. The Conway Planning Commission at its regular meeting on Monday voted 8-0 to recommend the approval of a rezoning request for property near Conway Christian School. The property is located at 332 S. East German Lane and is currently zoned A-1.
