SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP)—State lawmakers are pushing back as the closing of Springfield’s Small Business Administration Office looms just days away, and no staff remain for the office. The lease for the Springfield office was terminated by DOGE officials earlier this year and officially ends on Sunday, June 1st. That means small business owners in our area will face an hours-long trip out to Boston if they need to visit an office for aid.

LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) – A new Urgent Care is now open in Hampden County. The community got together to celebrate the opening of a new facility in Longmeadow. Local lawmakers and health experts gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday afternoon at the Longmeadow Shops on Bliss Road. They told 22News that there’s a need for more medical resources in our area, as three local Urgent Care Centers closed more than two years ago.
