    Narrows Brewing will expand beyond its prime waterfront real estate this summer with a second taproom, which will serve food and host pop-ups, in another coveted location. Owners Parker and Lauren Rush have purchased the former Viva Tacoma building at 2620 N. Proctor St. for $1.7 million, according to Pierce County property records. That vegan restaurant closed in March when co-owner Nancy Parkison confirmed the sale and its pub future.

    Farmers market season is well underway in the South Sound, with events every day but Wednesday, and there’s at least one newcomer to check out in Pierce County. The year-round Proctor Farmers Market in Tacoma has been in high-season since April, following a busier-than-usual winter with two markets each month instead of just one. The downtown market on Broadway and the big Saturday event in Puyallup also kicked off last month.

Friends wanted brunch but waits at my top picks were too long on Sunday. We ended up at one of Tacoma's old-school diner-type places, were sat right away but waited almost 45min for food to land and honestly... it was kinda bad
