LAWRENCEVILLE — When Rider University athletic director Don Harnum was going through the nearly month-long search process for the school’s next women’s basketball coach he kept coming back to the same name. Jackie Hartzell. “A lot of people brought her name up,” Harnum said. “A lot of people who weren’t maybe necessarily advocating for her when I brought her name up they said, ‘oh, yeah, that would be a good one. You should talk to her.’”There’s good reason for that feedback.

Xaivian Lee’s time with the Princeton men’s basketball team has come to an end. Lee will enter the transfer portal while also going through the NBA Draft process, his agent George S. Landberg told On3Sports on Friday. The 6-4 junior point guard averaged 16.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 30 games this season. He posted the first two recorded triple-doubles in program history (at St. Joe’s and vs. Penn) and was a unanimous First Team All-Ivy selection.

LAWRENCEVILLE — The Rider women’s basketball team has its next head coach. The school named Jackie Hartzell the program’s 20th head coach and sixth in the Division I era on Thursday afternoon. Hartzell arrives in Lawrenceville after three seasons at Division III Arcadia University where she went 54-26 and was named MAC Coach of the Year this past season.
