    The Seafood Place, a Tullahoma staple, was recently featured as one of the top seafood restaurants in Tennessee with no-frills necessary. Travel website Family Destinations Guide recently put out a list of the top nine seafood places in Tennessee “that don’t need fancy frills to impress.”According to the list, The Seafood Place placed fifth among other restaurants from Nashville, Memphis, Kingsport, Smyrna, Madison, Lebanon and Pigeon Forge.

    As the construction at Jack T. Farrar Elementary School nears completion, the Tullahoma City Schools Board of Education approved a second amendment to the project’s budget, bumping it up to over $21 million. At the May 22 meeting, Finance Director Hank Jordan presented the item to amend the guaranteed maximum price (GMP) budget for the project from $19,040,155.46 to $21,935,033.

    Tullahoma City Schools has kicked off its 10th year of summer food service with its summer meal program this week, serving breakfast and lunch to children 18 years and under. According to the TCS Nutrition Department, meals will be served Monday and Wednesday from now until July 23. There will be one closure for the week of June 30 to July 4. The summer meal program will serve three-day meal bags on Mondays and four-day meal bags.
