Dangerous heat and humidity continue: 15 Fury Alert Day status remains through TuesdayThe Live Doppler 15 Fury Storm Team continues its stretch of 15 Fury Alert Days, as intensely hot and humid conditions continue to grip the area. Tuesday’s high temps are in the mid-90s with heat index values as high as between 100° and 105°. This isn’t just about numbers on a thermometer, though. Heat and humidity at these levels can quicklybecome hazardous, especially if you’re spending time outdoors.

This is a part of Powers’ ultimate goal of hosting “Dine to Donate” once a month in 2025. Any sale made while the restaurant’s doors are open on Monday will the percentage donated to The Rescue Mission. The sales include all the food and merchandise they have to offer. Gift card purchases made online and in person will count as well.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — The National Weather Service recognized Parkview Health Tuesday with a certificate for achieving StormReady Community status. This is the first health system in the state to achieve this status recognized by the NWS. A formal ceremony was held on Monday from noon to 1 p.m. at the Parkview Business & Technology Center on Production Road. Northeast Indiana is no stranger to all types of severe weather.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — The drought conditions have been steadily alleviated over the past week-and-a-half, and that has come with some notable improvements on the Drought Monitor, which was updated on Thursday, November 28th. The Thanksgiving edition of the Drought Monitor shows a removal of Severe Drought for nearly half of our area. This comes into contrast with last week’s (November 21st) Drought Monitor, where most of the area was still under Severe Drought.
