Jun. 23—EUGENE, Ore. — A quartet from Gregory High School took their talents to the Nike Outdoor Nationals meet and came away with a ninth-place finish in their division for the sprint medley relay on Friday at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field. Competing in the Emerging Elite division, the second-highest high school division at the meet, the relay team of Max Cook, Luke Stukel, Pierce Stukel and Finn Adams raced to a time of 3:44.48.

EUGENE, Ore. — The University of South Dakota's national pole vaulting success continued at the NCAA outdoor track and field championships this week at Hayward Field. Freshman Anna Willis and senior Gennifer Hirata each posted first-team All-America finishes with top-eight marks in the women's pole vault on Thursday at the University of Oregon. Willis tied for fourth place with a top jump of 4.44 meters (14 feet, 6.75 inches), while Hirata was seventh, also posting 4.44 meters as her top jump.
