RAPID CITY, SD (KELO_ — A federal jury in Rapid City has found a man guilty in connection with a stabbing on the Pine Ridge Reservation. 31-year-old Frank Long Black Cat faces up to ten years in prison when he’s sentenced for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. Prosecutors say Long Black Cat used a knife to repeatedly stab the victim. He’s scheduled to be sentenced in July.

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — McKennan Park, in central Sioux Falls, will turn into a hard-hat area, beginning this week. On Monday, crews are scheduled to start removing the park’s old wading pool and bathhouse. Park visitors are urged to stay clear of the construction work. It’s all ahead of upgrades to the park that will include building a new wading pool and bathhouse, starting in June. The $4.7 million construction project is part of the City’s Capital Improvement Plan.

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — Crews will begin work Sunday evening on parking changes to downtown Sioux Falls. All parking along both sides of Phillips Avenue between 9th and 13th streets will be closed so crews can paint markings near the back of the diagonal parking stalls. Vehicles that are not moved by 7 p.m. Sunday may be towed. Parking should reopen by 6 a.m. Monday.
