The Coyotes lost a crop of seniors such as Kaleb Stewart, Paul Bruns and Mayuom Buom, but also saw multiple transfers from last season leave as well, highlighted by Dre Bullock and Summit League defensive player of the year Chase Forte.

Jun. 3—AVON, S.D. — After going a combined 8-25 in the first two seasons of South Dakota's era of sanctioned softball, the Avon High School softball team is headed to the Class B state tournament for the first time. The Pirates enter state with a 15-10 record, a drastic improvement from their 6-12 mark last season. This is a signing USD fans should be super excited about. Direct replacement for Quaron Adams. A ton of play making speed and should be a huge piece for the offense.

The Kansas City Royals are calling up slugger Jac Caglianone, one of the top prospects in baseball, sources tell ESPN. Caglianone, 22, is hitting .322/.389/.593 with 15 home runs and 56 RBIs in 50 games between AA and AAA.

The Royals' pitching staff has got to be so pissed. Constant quality starts, solid bullpen pitching, top-five team ERA in the league and the offense continues to be a laughing stock. Something's gotta change yesterday.

FINAL: Tigers 1, Royals 0
