Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe and Ontario Premier Doug Ford have signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two provinces, agreeing to remove all trade barriers between the two provinces. “A good that is acceptable in Saskatchewan should be just as acceptable in Ontario. And a service that is offered in our province, should also be offered equally in their province, and vice versa,” said Moe.

Saskatoon city council is asking its administration to have another look at the design for one portion of the new Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) route on College Avenue between Preston Avenue South and Clarence Avenue. At Wednesday’s meeting, council unanimously approved deferring approval of the extensive project until sometime in June. The $250 million project will see 73 per cent of the cost covered by the provincial and federal governments.

Nealy six months to the day after she was elected by a large margin of voters, Saskatoon Mayor Cynthia Block delivered her first state of the city address to hundreds of Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce attendees at TCU Place on Wednesday. She began with a video presentation followed by a brief speech that touched on a new Homelessness Action Plan, new affordable housing units under construction, and the continued development of a regional economic plan that includes communities outside of the city.
