    A teen girl who allegedly set her classmate on fire is set to make a plea at Saskatoon Provincial Court next month. On Sept. 5, a 15-year-old girl was doused in a flammable substance and lit on fire at Evan Hardy Collegiate. A 14-year-old girl has been charged with attempted murder, arson and aggravated assault. She's also been charged with unlawfully causing bodily harm, related to a teacher who was injured while attempting to put out the flames.

    An especially chilly Sunday is forecasted for several regions across Saskatchewan – as extreme cold warnings come into effect. The early morning hours of Sunday saw Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) issue warnings for the cities of Saskatoon, Prince Albert and their surrounding areas.     Garage sale season started a little early in Saskatoon this year. The SPCA held a garage sale Saturday to make use of some its more abundant gently used donations that might go unused. “It’s just trying to clear out some of the stuff. Like any place, storage is always an issue,” SPCA executive director Fred Dyck said. “So, if we can help people get some stuff in their lives and that helps us turn this stuff into money that we can use for health care for the animals, it all works.
