    A gas leak outside a Newark hospital has been fixed and the area has been deemed safe, officials say. A spokesperson for Newark Beth Israel Medical Center says the leak was on a PSE&G curb valve on Lehigh Avenue behind the hospital. PSE&G and the Newark Fire Department responded at 6:45 a.m. The spokesperson added there was no interruption to gas service and no interruption to patient care at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
