The owner of Earthbound Tattoo Studio in Sand City has been using her artistic talent and cultural heritage to offer a unique healing experience to her clients for the past 17 years. When clients walk into Marlo Kaleookalani Lualemana's tattoo shop, they are greeted with aloha. Over the years, thousands have come not just for tattoos but for a healing experience many didn't know they needed. "If these walls could talk, we would be flooded," Lualemana said.

A telethon is underway on the Central Coast, aiming to support local food banks as they face growing demand and funding cuts. Second Harvest Food Bank Santa Cruz County reaches around 70,000 people monthly, distributing about 10 million pounds of food each year. As demand grows, so does the call for help. Carolyn Hall, a retired nurse of 50 years, is among the seniors relying on Second Harvest Food Bank. "Right now I'm living on a fixed income which I thought would suffice but it's not," Hall said.

Tucked beneath the giant redwoods in Felton, Lili Arnold is creating a nature masterpiece in her art studio. "I've been doing printmaking for about 8 years," she said. Daughter of two artists, creativity is in her blood. "We were a little artsy-fartsy family. Just always doing crafts," Arnold said. So becoming an artist was a natural fit for her. Graduating from UCSC with a career in graphic design is where she got her start.

"I've always loved photography," says Charlotte Rosario, The Community Photobooth Founder. Merging photography with philanthropy. That's how Charlotte Rosario came up with The Community Photobooth. "The mission of The Community Photobooth is really to help people whose needs are overlooked," she said. It is a non-profit she created during the pandemic to raise funds for other non-profits. Her inspiration? Her dad. Joseph Rosario died by suicide days before the COVID-19 lockdown.
