RACINE — The Racine Police Department identified the pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run crash at Eighth and Main streets Nov. 9 as 62-year-old Douglas Lueck from Racine. Police originally said the victim was a 61-year-old man but updated his age to 62 in a press release Thursday. Justin Moser, 28, of Racine, faces one count of hit-and-run resulting in death and knowingly operating a vehicle while suspended, causing death, for his suspected role in the collision.

RACINE — Police arrested the suspect in a hit-and-run crash that sent a woman to the hospital with severe injuries Saturday. Joaquin Raigoza, 66, of Racine faces one count of hit-and-run causing great bodily harm. If convicted, he could be fined $50,000, sentenced to 15 years in prison, or both. The criminal complaint, issued Monday, said the 27-year-old victim's prognosis was not known, and that she suffered injuries including a skull fracture and a broken neck.

RACINE — A suspect in a deadly hit-and-run crash at Eighth and Main streets Thursday has been charged, according to a criminal complaint filed in the case. Justin Moser, 28, of Racine, faces one count of hit-and-run resulting in death and knowingly operating a vehicle while suspended, causing death. Racine Police Department officers were dispatched after a report of a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian about 8 p.m. Thursday.

BURLINGTON - The Underground Railroad Freedom Heritage Trail continues to grow in Racine County. Seven historical markers were dedicated Sept. 24 in Burlington. The markers make up the second phase of what is intended to be a three-phase project to designate significant Underground Railroad sites across the county. Three of the are at the Abraham Lincoln monument park at State and Kane streets in Burlington.
