    A former teacher who attended a school whilst under the influence of alcohol is allowed to continue teaching. Siobhan Clarke was arrested after a collision took place outside The Priory Academy LSST in Lincoln, a secondary school with nearly 1,000 pupils according to its latest Ofsted report. Clarke was employed as a maths teacher at the school from September 1, 2014, after previously working as a learning assistant.

    Visiting the Nottinghamshire County Show is always a great day out, and this year was no different. As soon as we stepped inside the Newark Showground there was just so much to see and do, from livestock competitions and craft stalls, to local produce being sold and have-a-go activities. This year there was even a Red Arrows flight simulator, where for £4 visitors could experience what it would be like to fly inside one of the iconic planes.

    There will be an RAF fighter flypast at this year's Nottinghamshire County Show to mark the 80th anniversary of VE day. The annual show will be returning to Newark Showground on Saturday, May 10, and organisers have added to the line up to join in with the nation's VE Day commemorations. To recognise the role Nottinghamshire’s farmers played in the war there will be a parade featuring Second World War-era farm vehicles.

    The family of a beloved mum found dead a property in Lincolnshire say she was the 'life and soul of any gathering'. Marriclare Bradshaw, 47, was found dead at a property in Louth on Thursday, May 1. Her family said Ms Bradshaw, who they also called Maz, will be remembered for her "mischievous smile and her distinctive laugh". In a tribute, they said: "Her mischievous smile and her distinctive laugh made Marriclare the life and soul of any gathering.

    A Lincolnshire couple have sold almost everything they own to travel the world after deciding they "can't take a single moment for granted." Husband and wife, Lucy Barton and Lee Mandzij, had always planned on travelling when they retired, but as the retirement age kept increasing they found their dream was "becoming increasingly unfeasible". Lucy, 44, also developed several chronic illnesses in 2018, which she says left her unable to hike or have a social life for some time.
