    The Intermountain Park City Hospital opened in 2009 as a full-service community hospital. Since then, it has undergone significant expansion with the addition of an ICU in 2013 and the Blair Education Center and Live Well Center in 2017. Endoscopy, expanded cardiology services, and a pediatric unit have also been added.     Until the Silly Market first opened in 2006, Sundays on Park City’s Main St. were quiet. On June 1 this year, the lower half of Main St. was bustling with artists, shoppers and those just looking. Live music played in the background of the street churn. Silly Market Executive Director Kate McChesney said today’s market boasts almost 200 vendors compared to the 35 it first started with. In the early days, some 500 people would come out each Sunday. Today, the crowds have grown to 16,000 every week.

    Intermountain Health Park City Hospital CEO Lori Weston shares details on the $40 million investment to add a 10,000 square foot cancer center and a 16,000 square foot ER and surgery wing. The cancer center will include two surgery suites, two shelled suites, two endoscopy suites, PET CT, a linear accelerator and expanded imaging and laboratory services. The hospital currently treats 500 cancer cases annually and aims to treat 90% locally.
