Of course, thorny issues or not, the Court has not been charged with sorting out proper behavior in a basketball game combined with Wrestlemania with hockey body checks mixed in for good measure.

INDIANAPOLIS— They gave out the Tony Awards days earlier, but they should have waited a week. The return of Caitlin Clark to the Indiana Fever lineup from injury merited recognition as the Best Actress in a Drama Saturday. For sure, the scene was good theatre. After being sidelined for three weeks and missing five games, the 6-foot guard rewarded the buzzing sellout crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse with a vintage, full-package Caitlin performance.

MADISON — When the 10-inch measurement of the turkey’s beard was announced as part of the standard post-hunt check-in procedure at Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge, hunter Jason Lewis offered his own contrast. Lewis possessed a black-and-white beard that was even longer. In any ZZ-Top look-alike contest, Lewis could have been a contender. In this case, the turkey was the prize.

The adventures of Caitlin Clark sitting on the Indiana Fever bench continued Saturday night as her basketball team thumped the Chicago Sky, 79-52, ending a three-game losing streak. The 19,496 fans who sold out the United Center in the Sky’s best-attended game ever, did not come to watch Clark sit, or stand up and root for her teammates, but that’s all they got. No shooting or passing.
