    Police on South Street in Newport (Image: Contributed) AN ISLE of Wight man has been charged following a theft at a shop in Newport town centre. On Saturday afternoon, police were called to Mountain Warehouse, on South Street/Pyle Street. Police were alerted to reports of a man acting suspiciously in Newport shortly before 4.30pm. Officers began searching the area on foot and were soon directed by members of the public to Mountain Warehouse.
