The ‘Guins come into the 2025 NCAA Women’s Bowling Championship as a No. 3 seed. YSU is set to match up against No. 2 Nebraska in the First Round at the Suncoast Bowling Center in Las Vegas. The ‘Guins earned their fifth consecutive tournament bid on the way to winning the Rochester Regional in New York in early April.

    POLAND, Ohio (WKBN) – Poland graduate Mary Brant has made a name for herself in Division I College Softball with Robert Morris in her freshman season. “I feel like just kind of being goofy, I definitely play better when I’m loose,” said Brant. Brant is tied for first with eight home runs in the Horizon League Conference. She also has the best batting average in the conference with .402 and a slugging percentage at .866.

    YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown State Softball split a doubleheader to Robert Morris at the YSU Softball Complex on Wednesday night. RMU beat YSU in game one 11-3. The ‘Guins won game two of the doubleheader, 7-4. In game one, YSU’s Macy Littler, Kennedy Dean, and Taylor Truran all drove in one run each in the loss. Robert Morris’s and Poland graduate Mary Brant drove in one run in the game one win. Courtney Poulich also drove in four runs with two hits in the win.

    BRISTOLVILLE, Ohio (WKBN) – Bristol High School senior Ellie Anderson is one of the most decorated student-athletes for the Panthers. She has received honorable mentions for the Northeastern Athletic Conference postseason teams, all while being a two-year captain.
