MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) -New statues and memorials were added on to the East Mississippi Veterans Park on Wednesday, to continue to honor veterans just ahead of Memorial Day weekend. Today, six granite monuments, one for each branch of the armed forces, were installed at the Veterans Park, along with a KC-135 tanker tail. These were some of several additions made at the park, with hopes to add a military tank for display and a quarter mile long walking trail around the park in the future.
