    MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) -The ninth ranked Ole Miss Rebels won the final two games over Kentucky last weekend to clinch their third consecutive SEC series for the first time since 2018. The Rebels (24-7, 8-4) will host Tennessee this weekend. Southern Mississippi lost their first three-game series of the season, dropping two contests to the Marshall Thundering Herd. It was also only the second time in the long history of the series that Marshall has won a series from USM.

    MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) -The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department now has a new means to fight crime in our area. Sheriff Ward Calhoun invited the media out Friday to show off their new Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicle, or MRAPY for short. It’s a type of armored personnel carrier that is designed to withstand land mines, explosive devices and to save lives. Calhoun says this is a 2013 model in excellent shape and will be used only in certain situations.
