Share ORLANDO, Fla. – It seems that stubborn inflation appears to be cooling off. Schlesinger: Well, it was actually better than expected so I like good news, too. The inflation rate retreated a little bit. It it was up by 2.8% from a year ago, down from the previous month’s reading of 3%. Now, that core rate, that’s the one that removes food and energy, that was up 3.1%, again, an improvement from the 3.3% annual pace in January.
