    The 253rd Easter Sunrise Service will be Easter Sunday at Old Salem in Winston-Salem. A solemn and beloved city tradition, the Sunrise Service offers a period of calm and reflection, a counter to these zany times. The service will begin at 6 a.m. in the Salem Square at Old Salem. First held at Old Salem in 1772, the Sunrise Service has changed little over the years, adhering to its original mission of celebrating the resurrection of Jesus.
