In the past, many people have been able to file a report with their state agency and get reimbursed for their stolen SNAP benefits, formally known as food stamps, but that law expired in December 2024. Now, if your debit card, known as an "EBT card" gets hacked, you're unable to purchase food until the card is reloaded the following month.
