    The Vermont City Marathon is only days away, and to help you get prepared, we're featuring a birds-eye-view of the course. Run Vermont's 2025 course will feature two-loops of a 13.1-mile course, running through all the best spots of Burlington, Vermont. Participants will race along the Church Street Marketplace and run along the beautiful Burlington Bike Path with epic views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains. The Vermont City Marathon is Sunday, May 25th.

    Vermont State Police are looking for a pick up truck that appeared to have burn marks. Officials said that on May 4, the Franklin County Sherrif’s Department was on patrol around 9:45 p.m. in Highgate when a White Ford F150 was reported to be on fire in the parking area off of VT Rte 207 by the Highgate Dam. The Highgate Fire Department requested that a fire investigator consult with them about the vehicle.

    The Colchester Police Dept. is on the scene of a homicide off of Roosevelt Highway in Colchester. Officials said officers responded to a home for a report of a disturbance around 5:20 p.m.When police got there they found a body at the home.Colchester police said that a male in the home was taken into custody. Vermont State Police Crime Scene Search Team has been called to assist. CColchester Rescue and the Chittenden County States Attorney’s Office have also assisted.This is a developing situation.

    Around 7 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6, Vermont State Police responded to a report of a two-car crash on U.S. Route 7 in the town of Pownal, VT. Police said that a sport utility vehicle had collided with a school bus. Officials said that the school bus had not had any students onboard at the time of the crash. When troopers got there, the driver of the car Dana Zazinski, 60, of Pownal was pronounced dead.

    Multiple fire crews are on the scene of an apartment fire on Lime Kiln Road in South Burlington.NBC5 has a crew on the scene who says the South Burlington Fire Department, among others including a helicopter spraying water from above, are trying to extinguish the flames on the multi-story building.It's unclear if anyone is injured or displaced.This article will be updated as more information comes into our newsroom.
