The Colchester Police Dept. is on the scene of a homicide off of Roosevelt Highway in Colchester. Officials said officers responded to a home for a report of a disturbance around 5:20 p.m.When police got there they found a body at the home.Colchester police said that a male in the home was taken into custody. Vermont State Police Crime Scene Search Team has been called to assist. CColchester Rescue and the Chittenden County States Attorney’s Office have also assisted.This is a developing situation.

Around 7 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6, Vermont State Police responded to a report of a two-car crash on U.S. Route 7 in the town of Pownal, VT. Police said that a sport utility vehicle had collided with a school bus. Officials said that the school bus had not had any students onboard at the time of the crash. When troopers got there, the driver of the car Dana Zazinski, 60, of Pownal was pronounced dead.

Part of Route 7 in Rutland in the area of Cold River Road is closed Thursday as crews battle a large structure fire. The Rutland Town Fire Dept. said that crews will be on scene for several hours Thursday night as they work to put out the flames at "General Auto Repair and Welding Repair." Officials said the building is a total loss.Rutland City Fire Dept. and the West Rutland Fire Dept. are assisting. This article will be updated as we learn new information.

Vermont State Police found the body of a missing woman near Lake Willoughby in Westmore on April 30th.The discovery of 51-year-old Su Mi Ko of Craftsbury was made during Search and Rescue Team training.Officials said that crews recovered her body several hundred yards from the Mount Pisgah trailhead.An autopsy will be conducted at the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington to determine the cause and manner of death.
