OHIO TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A semi-truck fell off the Parkway North on Sunday morning. According to the Pennsylvania State Police preliminary investigation, a person driving a semi southbound on I-279 around 3:30 a.m. lost control of the truck, hit the concrete barrier and left the roadway. The cab and trailer rolled over and came to rest on Mt. Nebo Road near McAleer Road, below I-279. The semi broke into several pieces, and our crew saw a crane being used to lift part of the wreckage out of the woods.

OAKMONT, Pa. — The Borough of Oakmont is buzzing with music on Saturday as the smell of Greek cuisine fills the air. It’s part of the 50th annual Oakmont Greek Food Festival. “I started getting involved here in 1987 when we moved to the Pittsburgh area. We are almost twice as big as we were at that time” said Andy Gavrilos, festival organizer. This is a 50-year tradition for the dormition of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church in Oakmont.

LOWER BURRELL, Pa. — A person was killed in a Westmoreland County house fire overnight. The fire happened along Donnel Road in Lower Burrell. The Westmoreland County Coroner tells us a 42-year-old woman was killed in the fire. Her name has not yet been released. This is a developing story that will be updated as Channel 11 learns more.
