GRANGEVILLE — Following the May 28 Mountain View School District 244 special board meeting, the updated deadline for the new school board applicants is June 17. This follows the district’s May 20 vote to deconsolidate and form two new districts: Clearwater Valley School District 245 (including Elk City) and Grangeville School District 246.

GRANGEVILLE — Mountain View School District 244’s deconsolidation will have a friendly and experienced face to help in its transition in the coming months. The board of trustees voted unanimously at a special meeting May 28 to extend Holthaus’ contract into the 2025-’26 school year; the current contract runs through the end of June. The new contract will run from August through December with a salary of $66,500.

Border Days will kick off with the rodeo July 3, and there are some changes in store this year!Border Days Rodeo has joined the Northwest Professional Rodeo Association (NPRA) for 2025, opening the gates to a broader contestant pool and elevating the event’s prestige throughout the western rodeo circuit.
