The 17-year-old from the Wide Bay area was last seen on 15 May when she failed to board a flight from Bundaberg airport. Her housemates - James Wood and Tanika Bromley - have since been charged with one count each of murder, and two counts each of interfering with a corpse.

Police found human remains on Friday, June 6 in the Good Night Scrub National Park area near Gin Gin.

A woman who allegedly lured people from Papua New Guinea to Australia with the promise of fully-funded scholarships has been charged with human trafficking. Australian Federal Police allege the 56-year-old woman forced 15 people — aged between 19 and their late 30s — to work on farms against their will instead of receiving the education they had been promised.

It means he doesn't always have time to be vigilant of crocodiles on his Mareeba property, inland of Cairns, especially when he has to get into the river to service his irrigation equipment and pump by hand. "It is definitely worrying when you have to get into the river," he says.
