INTEMPO, Fairfield County’s celebrated music school that teaches youngsters “predominantly from immigrant backgrounds and from communities underrepresented in the arts,” will celebrate the grand opening of its new 141 Franklin Street Stamford headquarters at 5:30 p.m. on Monday May 13. Students will lead tours of the well-appointed 4,500 square-foot space which doubles the size of INTEMPO’s previous digs, and State Housing Commissioner Seila Mosquera will speak.

By: Maria Borges-LopezDear Electors,SNEW is seeking to approve a rate increase and is holding a Special Electors Zoom Meeting on Tuesday, April 9th, at 6pm and they are requiring attendees to register in advance. No other public meetings for SNEW have previously required attendees to do so. Such registration will inevitably deter public attendance and reflects a lack of transparency. SNEW should seek to be transparent with Electors and not require any such registration in advance.

The article quotes the head of Environmental Affairs for Wilton stating that tests of the underground drainage pipes near the existing fields came back as showing no PFAS, the forever chemical and known carcinogen.

NORWALK, Conn. — Eight catalytic converters were reported stolen off cars in Norwalk Wednesday afternoon, police said, with all the thefts occurring in active parking lots. One of the incidents resulted in a confrontation between a woman walking toward her targeted vehicle and the perpetrators, with them attempting to strike her with their getaway car as they were fleeing the parking lot of Dunkin Donuts on East Avenue, she told police.
