    PERU — Dogs waiting to be adopted into their forever homes now have a wooded area to run and play thanks to a group of chainsaw-wielding volunteers in Peru. Elmore SPCA has a new walking trail, giving dogs at the shelter an opportunity for more time outdoors and a chance to meet potential adopters in a natural setting. The idea started last winter when the team began conceptualizing a walking trail in the wooded space behind the shelter.
