North Country Public Radio is a regional radio network that is part of National Public Radio, based in Canton, New York. This network, which relies on support from its members, is owned by St. Lawrence University and serves as the NPR affiliate for the Adirondack North Country area of northern New York. The studios are housed in the Noble Medical Building on the university campus.

    Forest Rangers carried a woman about 3 miles out of the woods who had broken her leg in multiple places while hiking in the High Peaks last Tuesday night. According to the NYSDEC, the 26-year-old from the Southern Tier town of Deposit was a mile beyond Indian Pass Brook when her injury was reported. Eight Forest Rangers and a paramedic reached the hiker around 9:30 pm and then stabilized her injuries.
