Pace, who was on the phone with her friend at the time, immediately dismissed the call and jumped into action to assist the downed woman. The paramedic checked for a pulse and found none. She performed CPR and called 911.

A clipper storm, as defined by the National Weather Service, is a fast-moving storm that drops into the U.S. over the Great Lakes from Alberta, Canada. Waves of cold air will be sweeping south over the course of the coming days, a weather pattern New York residents have had to cope with since the start of the year.

    In an internal memo obtained by the New York Post, Target, the major American retail corporation, announced that it will end its three-year diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) goals. “Many years of data, insights, listening and learning have been shaping this next chapter in our strategy,” Kiera Fernandez, Target’s chief community impact and equity officer, said in the memo, according to the Post.

    STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The family who recently lost their Graniteville home in a fire is slowly recovering, according to a close friend. Christopher Guzzo, the owner of Making MemorEase Event Management, has worked beside Isaiah Pereles, 25, since Pereles began at the company around the age of 16. Isaiah was among those injured in Friday’s fire at 267 Ada Drive, but he is also the father of Ian, the 2-year-old boy who was listed in critical condition in the wake of the blaze.
