    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police say a Saturday afternoon shooting in Frayser was the result of a Facebook Marketplace deal gone wrong. Police responded to a shopping center on Thomas Street near North Watkins Street on Saturday evening. Two gunshot victims were taken to the hospital in non-critical condition. One person was detained. One of the victims told police he and his girlfriend are from Mississippi and came to Memphis to purchase a black Camaro that the suspect advertised on Facebook.

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was shot in a store parking lot after trying to repo a car, Horn Lake police confirmed. At approximately 5 p.m., officers responded to the area of 7256 Interstate Blvd for a complaint of shots being fired. Officers said they were able to determine that a victim had attempted to repo a car on the lot when he had been shot.

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting in Mud Island earlier this week, Memphis Police confirmed. Christopher Skelton, 29, and Justin Furnish, 42, are facing a slew of charges for the following incidents:On June 2 at 12:45 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at Island Place East and Island Village Drive. A male victim was taken to Regional One in critical condition. Police said the three suspects were three men in a red Chevrolet Silverado.

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — All westbound lanes on I-40 have been closed due to an accident, according to a Memphis Police Traffic Alert. Officers are on the interstate after an accident has led to all of the westbound lanes of I-40 and N. Hollywood being blocked. Police said the crash took place at 3:32 p.m. and involved four vehicles. Four occupants were pronounced dead, and another occupant was taken to St. Francis Bartlett in non-critical condition.

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Four teenage boys were arrested this week in connection with multiple carjackings in Raleigh, Memphis Police confirmed. On May 15, 2025, at 07:20 p.m., officers responded to a carjacking at the Citgo Gas Station at 2915 Old Austin Peay Highway. Officers were told that the victim and her mother were getting gas when two males approached them and asked for a ride. A suspect pulled a gun on a victim and demanded that she get out of the vehicle and hand over her cell phone.
