(WSYR) — In the Lockwood family, lacrosse is taught before walking. “Technically, the first time I, ever picked up lacrosse that I was born and my dad gave me, like, a little miniature lacrosse stick,” said West Genesee Senior Charlie Lockwood. West Genesee Senior Charlie Lockwood grew up hearing of his dad’s storied career. A state championship with the Wildcats, a four time All-American at Syracuse University, and a lacrosse world championship gold medalist.

BERKELEY, C.A. (WSYR) — Syracuse dominated on the west coast beating California 18-6 in game two of their road stint. After the Golden Bears scored first, SU scored five straight goals and entered halftime up 9-5. Syracuse outscored Cal 9-1 in the second half, cruising to the 12 goal win. Nine different players scored for the Orange with Caroline Trinkaus leading the team with four goals. Emma Ward led the team in points with seven on two goals and a season-best five assists.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR) — Former Georgia Tech point guard, Naithan George told ESPN on Friday that he has committed to Syracuse. The Sophomore averaged 12.3 points, 6.5 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game for the Yellow Jackets. With the departure of Jaquan Carlos from SU this season, the Orange is in need of a point guard to run the offense and George brings that to the team. George is the third player that Head Coach Adrian Autry has gotten from the portal in the off season.
