COTTAGE GROVE – The Cottage Grove Village Board terminated its option to buy a former daycare site on Cottage Grove Road, following a failed referendum asking voters whether to fund building a library on the site. The Cottage Grove Village Board voted on April 7 to terminate an agreement with the owners of 1.9 acres of land at 312 W. Cottage Grove Road. That agreement gave the village the option to purchase the land for the potential construction of a library in the village.
