The Executive Director of West Central Indiana National Alliance on Mental Illness shared some key mental health services. "I think that's really important to be able to offer a peer service, whether support or education," said Sheri Moore. Moore shared a service that NAMI will be starting soon.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — The City of Lafayette has postponed the opening day of Castaway Bay, Tropicanoe Cove, and Vinton Pool. The postponement is due to weather conditions and cold water temperatures from recent rains and cooler temperatures. The aquatics centers are expected to open on Tuesday, May 27. Due to the date change, the City of Lafayette will honor half-price admission at Tropicanoe Cove on Saturday, August 30.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Cason Family Park has officially opened to the public as the newest community park in over two decades. A grand opening was held on Thursday morning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The park, which took around seven years to complete, sits on almost 30 acres. In the middle of the park sits the Morris Schoolhouse, a historical structure that Sue Eiler and a team of volunteers remodeled.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Mind Your Manners Bootcamp is set to return to Thomas Duncan Hall in downtown Lafayette this June. The free event will be held June 10-12, offering attendees a chance to sharpen their manners through interactive lessons. Participants will engage in discussions and role-playing on topics like bullying, cell phone etiquette, introductions, and table manners. The bootcamp is open to individuals aged 8 and older, including families.
