Journal & Courier

The Lafayette Journal & Courier is a daily publication owned by Gannett that caters to Lafayette, Indiana, and its nearby areas. It was formed in 1920 when two local newspapers, the Journal and Free Press (which dates back to 1829 under the name John B. Semans' Free Press) and the Courier (started in 1845), combined their efforts. In 2016, the newspaper relocated from its historic downtown location to a modern facility on the east side of Lafayette, bringing it nearer to its printing and production operations.
