The Rapid City Police Department has confirmed the name of a man killed Tuesday evening. Francis Tobacco, 55, died at the hospital after a stabbing that occurred around 7 p.m. in the 400 block of Sixth Street in downtown Rapid City. Diontae Eagleman, 22, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder, according to the Rapid City Police Department. Eagleman made his initial appearance in Pennington County Court on Friday.

RAPID CITY —A federal grand jury has charged Ellsworth Airman Quinterius Charles Chappelle, 24, with first-degree murder in the death of a Lakota woman on the Air Force base. Chappelle allegedly murdered 21-year-old Sahela Sangrait/DuBray with "premeditation and malice aforethought" on or about Aug. 11, according to the indictment. Friends and family of Sangrait, Cheyenne River Lakota, said they last interacted with her on Aug.
