    The remains of a missing man last seen alive in the Hot Springs area 10 months ago have been found. Medicine Wheel Ride said Friday Rosebud Sioux Tribe member Matthew Marshall Jr.'s body has been located. Information surrounding the circumstances and the location of Marshall's body have not been made public. "While this is not the outcome any of us hoped for, we pray that this brings some peace and closure to those who have missed him so deeply," the organization said in a Facebook post.

    Keep an eye out for the bookmobile. The newest incarnation of the Rapid City Public Library bookmobile recently celebrated a year of action. Brady Jones with the library said the current bookmobile was spurred by the need for mobility during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2020, with the main branch shut down, the library used a traveling pop-up library.

    State authorities recently announced a Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety officer was justified in firing his gun while trying to stop a fleeing suspect. South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley said Tuesday the officer was cleared of wrongdoing in an incident that occurred May 2 in Fall River County. Cody Dittman, 35, was eventually found and arrested after the pursuit.
