TIMMINS - While water is still high on the main river running through town, it is significantly lower than a week ago. Today, at the Mattagami River Boat Launch, the water is still at the top of the ramp. That's an improvement from last week when most of the parking lot was under water. On the other side of Riverside Drive at the Historical Conservation Area, there is also a noticeable drop in water.
