    TIMMINS - After over five decades of service, Walter Marsh has signed off duty for the final time. On June 8, Marsh's 72nd birthday, he worked his last shift as a Cochrane District Paramedic Services. Family, friends and co-workers filled the ambulance bay at the Cochrane District Services Building (CDSB) to celebrate the milestone. At 3 p.m., the dispatcher called, thanked Marsh for his service, and he signed out for the last time.

    TIMMINS - Youth are hitting the streets today, speaking out against contentious legislation passed this week. Over 100 people met at Participark before walking along Algonquin Boulevard to protest Bill 5. Chants of "Kill Bill 5" frequently broke out during a peaceful demonstration in front of city hall, where youth shared their message and elders encouraged their efforts.

    TIMMINS - Youth are getting a bird's eye view of the city. The 33rd Young Eagles Program took off from the Victor M. Power Aiport today (June 7), with 90 kids being taken up on flights in smaller, personal aircraft to open their minds to aviation. Noel Belair is the Timmins Flying Club Lloyd Richards Chapter president and the Young Eagles Co-ordinator. This year, he said the flights for the young flyers go over Walmart, Porcupine Lake, Big Water and then back to the airport.

    TIMMINS - Youth are hitting the streets today, speaking out against contentious legislation passed this week. Over 100 people met at Participark before walking along Algonquin Boulevard to Timmins city hall to protest Bill 5. The Youth Rising Together Protest was organized by Katherine Jeremiah-Génier, Shem Mattinas, Leeon Prince, and Kendrick Jeremiah, with support from community members including Vanessa Génier, CEO of Quilts for Survivors.
