Texas Tech football is heading to the Independence Bowl to finish their season. Texas Tech ended their season 6-6, which for most could be considered disappointing. With several returning starters and a head coach with more fire than his predecessors, expectations were high. The Red Raiders are heading to a bowl game for the third consecutive year, the first time that has happened since the Mike Leach era. How Joey McGuire has weathered this season’s storm of a poor start and bad injuries cannot be understated.
