ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Mack Trucks is expected to lay off 250 to 350 workers at its Macungie facility, according to a release from state Rep. Josh Siegel. Siegel, D-22nd District, called it "a clear signal of the dangerous economic instability" caused by the policies put in place under the Trump Administration — especially tariffs. "Once again, American workers are being sacrificed at the altar of political theater," Siegel said in the release.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — There soon could be legislation that would protect children from accidental carbon monoxide incidents at childcare facilities in the state. State Rep. Jeanne McNeill, D-Lehigh, proposed , which has passed the state House and now heads to the state Senate. A release from McNeill's office cited an October 2022 incident at Happy Smiles Learning Center in Allentown, where more than two dozen children and adults were hospitalized for carbon monoxide poisoning.

In a Facebook post Wednesday, the Crivellaros announced the "big news," saying the family "is honored to continue the tradition of bringing authentic Italian specialties to Bethlehem, PA!" Co-owner Mike Crivellaro told LehighValleyNews.com they don't plan to take away any fan-favorites, but want to add to the market's offerings. "We're bringing in more stuff," Crivellaro said.
