And it's an indication of the kind of community being built in the area, a developer's spokesman said. An Insomnia Cookies store is not yet listed on the website's "Find a Bakery" webpage, but building permits show the chain is set to take root at the base of Six 10 Flats in Bethlehem.

SALISBURY TWP., Pa. — More construction is going on at South Mall. Crews were working inside a building at 3300 Lehigh St. this week, with a sign atop the building that says, "Coming Soon!" beneath the Burlington stores logo. A spokesperson confirmed Wednesday the store is slated to open this fall. It would be the fourth Burlington location in the Lehigh Valley — alongside stores in Lower Nazareth Township, Whitehall Township and Trexlertown.

BANGOR, Pa. — The tornado that hit the Bangor area Tuesday evening was an EF1 — the second-lowest on the scale of twisters, the National Weather Service at Mt. Holly, N.J., said. That category of storm carries winds of 65 to 86 mph, according to the weather service. "Damage in this area was consistent with maximum wind speeds of 70 to 80 mph," the statement reads. The NWS estimated peak winds reached 80 to 90 mph with a path length of about 1.50 miles and a maximum path width of 100 yards.

BANGOR, Pa. — Social media erupted with photos of what appear to be a funnel cloud in the Bangor area Tuesday evening. The National Weather Service in Mt. Holly, N.J., issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Lehigh Valley lasting until 8 p.m.It later issued a tornado warning at 3:58 p.m. for East Stroudsburg, Stroudsburg and Bangor lasting until 4:30 p.m. The warning said the radar indicated a tornado and quarter-sized hail possible.
