    Burlington, VT – A long-standing community fixture in Burlington’s Old North End has closed its doors after more than 80 years of operation. The Sara Holbrook Community Center announced in July that it would be closing and suspending its services effective August 1. The center’s board of directors cited financial difficulties as the reason for the closure. Kristin Fontaine, who chaired the board of directors said the decision to close was not made lightly.

    Burlington, VT – The Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport is partnering with a program to increase accessibility and inclusivity for people with hidden disabilities. The airport announced Monday that it has joined hundreds of other airports in the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program. By wearing a specific lanyard with a sunflower print, passengers can alert airport staff of their disability.

    White River Jct., VT – The Widows Sons Masonic Motorcycle Group held its 15th annual veterans ride Sunday to raise money for veterans programs offered through the Veterans Association hospital. The Vermont chapter of the Widows Sons began raising money for veterans in 2009 when a member suggested hosting a charity motorcycle ride. Since then, the annual event has grown, passing $100,000 in funds raised this year. The ride began at P&H Truck Stop in Wells River and followed Rte.
