The vigil was held at the gas station where Islam' was last seen alive by her daughter, Rimi Islam.An eclectic group of mourners paid tribute to Monica Islam and called for justice. The backstory: Monica Islam was reported missing May 2 in Eustis. Police said she walked out of the gas station on South Bay Street around 6:15 a.m. Islam was with her daughter in the store before she left.

A man from Orlando has been arrested as a suspect in a shooting with at least two other people that happened in front of a school bus. ‘You put 30 kids in danger’ What we know: The shooting happened on April 23, around 6 a.m. at a school bus stop on Heber Circle and Imogene Court in Orlando's Carver Shores neighborhood. Police said a school bus with approximately 30 students aboard was hit by one bullet. No one on the bus was hurt, Orange County Public Schools confirmed to FOX 35 News.

A young woman is recovering from a brutal, random knife attack that took place outside a gas station on John Young Parkway in Orange County. ‘My adrenaline was just pumping’ What we know: According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, a woman was slashed in the head by a stranger wielding a butcher knife. The suspect, identified as Sampson Pettit, was reportedly under the influence of drugs and in possession of 20 grams of cocaine at the time of the assault.
