    PacSun has opened in a newly remodeled 5,001-square-foot space in the JCPenney wing at Eastview Mall, mall owner Wilmorite announced Thursday. Short for Pacific Sunwear, PacSun sells jeans, cargo pants, graphic tees, swimwear and other apparel for teenagers and young adults by such brands as Levi's, Formula 1 Reebok, Brandy Melville and Von Dutch, among others. Originally, PacSun opened in 1998 in Eastview’s Main Court and closed in 2012.

    It’s been advertised since last summer with window signs, but work is finally underway on a new Starbucks location downtown. On April 9, the city of Rochester issued a building permit allowing changes to be made to a ground-floor space in the Five Star Bank building, 100 Chestnut St., for use as a sit-down restaurant (Starbucks) and to create an outdoor seating area, a city spokesperson said via email.

    Dick’s Sporting Goods will exit Henrietta’s Marketplace Mall Monday, April 28, and open in its new location, 790 Jefferson Road in Market Square Plaza, Tuesday, April 29, a store manager said. A soft opening period will follow until Friday, May 9, when an official grand opening will be held, she said. A moving sale is underway at the Marketplace store.
