After a week of alternating rainy and clear skies, with storms especially heavy on Wednesday, Friday will likely bring even more rain to New Orleans and southeast Louisiana. After isolated showers and a gloomy start to the morning, a few severe storms could hit southeast Louisiana Friday in the afternoon to evening, according to the National Weather Service. Storms could bring damaging winds, large hail and the possibility of a tornado, according to the NWS.

Multiple 18-wheeler truck cabs caught fire early Wednesday morning in Kenner, according to the Kenner Fire Department. Photos shared by fire officials at about 5:07 a.m. show multiple trucks enveloped by flames in a business parking lot on the 30 block of East Airline Drive. The fire was under control by 5:46 a.m., Jason Dyer, chief of administration with the Kenner Fire Department said.
