Over the past five years, Alabama state agencies reported 1,876 items either lost, stolen or damaged, all bought with your money. That’s more than $900,000 worth of property, with only a fraction ever found.

It comes two years after the initial breach where hackers gained access to the personal information of students. “It’s a multi-billion dollar problem and companies, one-by-one have to step up and be serious about it,” said Attorney Scott Cole.
