LLOYD — In the hamlet of Highland, residents are fuming over a proposal to build a pet crematorium near an elementary school. The business would offer pet cremation, bereavement services, urns and other funerary products, according to the project’s applicant, Justin Bogdanffy, owner of Heavenly Heart Pet Cremation. The parcel, at 3525-3523 Route 9W, is approximately 110 feet from Highland Primary School and near sports fields across the road. It formerly housed Highland Medical.
