RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - Eastern Kentucky University Anthropology held its first public Archaeology Day this morning in partnership with the City of Richmond. Students and staff have spent the last few weeks doing fieldwork at the site of the new Richmond Sports Complex. Every two years, EKU Anthropology offers a field school that takes place in the summer. Students get to investigate various archaeological sites.

RELATEDHe claims the panel is plagued with conflicts of interest. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices consists of 17 individuals who typically serve four-year terms. They help guide the federal government’s immunization schedule.

Fayette Heating & Air is hoping to lend a helping hand, but they need your help first. For over fifteen years, Fayette Heating & Air has done the “It’s Cool To Be A Vet” program, where they donate a complete cooling system to a veteran in need. Every year, they receive dozens of applications.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Beacon of Hope Emergency Shelter in Winchester has outgrown its space and is slowly but surely fundraising enough money to build a new space. At any given time, the shelter has up to 60 people staying in it, including families. The Beacon of Hope has operated out of their current building for the last ten years. With it often at max capacity, employees say they need a new building, especially as the homeless crisis continues to grow.
