(Image: Newsquest Media Group) The inflation rate fell faster than expected in March as economists predicted the tariff wars initiated by Donald Trump will help to keep the lid on prices paving the way for cuts in interest rates. The annual rate of Consumer Price Inflation fell to 2.6% in March from 2.8% in February, compared with forecasts of 2.7% in a poll of economists by Reuters.
