The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Jane was born November 29, 1945, in Crockett to Edward and Verna Foree. She graduated from Snyder High School in 1964, then went on to Texas Tech University. Jane married the love of her life, Ronnie Goode on August 27, 1966, in Snyder.

    Ethan Dorchies, Cary-Grove, P, sr. Dorchies was practically an automatic win when he stepped on the mound for the Trojans last season. He finished with a 9-0 record and seven earned runs in 62 2/3 innings, with an ERA of 0.78, a WHIP of 0.89 and 71 strikeouts. The Northwest Herald All-Area first-team pitcher struck out 12 and allowed two hits in the Trojans’ 1-0 victory over Prairie Ridge for the Class 3A Cary-Grove Regional championship.

    Prosecutors contend a Coal City man can still undergo a second trial for the 2017 first-degree murder of a woman who was killed in a shooting at the clubhouse for the Joliet Outlaws Motorcycle Club. Attorney Chuck Bretz is seeking to have the case against his client, Jeremy Boshears, 38, dismissed on double jeopardy grounds. The double jeopardy clause in the U.S. Constitution prohibits a person from being prosecuted twice for the same crime.
